A company known for its classic designs, Rolex usually creates traditional pieces. Contrarily, Rolex has veered off that path with this design, and introduced a watch full of style and personality. Available for sale in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia this beautiful Deepsea Blue Rolex.
The Deepsea watch is characterized with a 44mm wide stainless steel case, and is 18mm thick. This capable creation is by no means discrete. It sports a Sapphire crystal dial and demands attention with its astounding fading-color scheme; from sea blue to deep dark black.
This edition commemorates National Geographic film maker and deep sea explorer James Cameron’s solo expedition to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, the deepest point of the earth’s ocean (11,000m). James Cameron is also known for directing blockbuster movies as The Terminator, Titanic and Avatar.
For that particular expedition in 2012, Rolex marked a world record with its unique creation of a 51mm and 28mm thick watch designed to withstand 12,000 meters underwater. For both watches, DEEPSEA in vibrant green is displayed on the dial.
This watch is waterproof up to 3,900 meters with the assistance of the patented wring lock system and triple lock screw down winding crown. The back of the case is constructed from Grade-5 Titanium. The case features a helium escape valve, and a rotating bezel. Powering the DEEPSEA is a caliber 3135, with a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. It is fitted with a stainless steel oyster bracelet.
Along with the Submariner and the Sea dweller, these lavish watches demand respect, not only for their luxurious design, but for their functionality; a tool watch perfect for any occasion. This model in particular, due to its unique features commemorating mankind’s continuous efforts in the exploration of our planet, makes it a little more special. A highly collectable piece for watch enthusiasts everywhere!
